Cloud computing is the offering of electronic resources to a customer and that customer is the end user. The customer does not have to worry about making, installing or managing any programs in order to use the services and the customer is entirely in control of the system.

An example of a computer server that has software installed on it that can run any number of software applications simultaneously, over a network.

It is also an example of shared computing where multiple computers are connected to a computer server and any number of programs can be installed on the servers. When one computer loses its power, the other computers are still running and can continue to work as normal. This all occurs over a virtual network connection, or VPN.

What is cloud computing not? Well, cloud computing is not internet-based computing and that includes the use of the internet, email, instant messaging, and other types of communication with the software that runs your business. There are many advantages to being cloud based but when it comes to access to a business’ data, security, and reliability are the top concerns.
